Blog #1

To give you a look at whats going on; in 2006, I was marching in a parade and we had just finished marching and I needed to sit down and rest my feet, they were killing me. Well when I went to go sit down on the curb, my back popped, I never had back problems before so I figured just a little pop, no it was a sharp pain so I leaned back to make it go away and it popped again and the pain was gone, and from then on it only happened when I would lean back for long periods of time and if I moved a certain way or put pressure on it, the pain would go away. To describe the beginning of the pain, was a sharp pinching, I don't how to explain really, but it wasn't a good pain, it hurt very badly, but since I could make my back pop and it go away I didn't really care about it. That was until three weeks ago, I was doing something at work, had been standing on my feet already for 4 or 5 hours and I bent down to pick something up and my back snapped. I got up slowly and thought it was fine, well that same pinching sharp pain won't go away. I figured I'd sleep on it, still didn't go away. So on so forth. So just this last week, Thursday, I gave in to the pain, it was getting to where I couldn't walk right away after sitting down, I couldn't lay down on my sides, stomach, back, any position. And it was really bad because I had just worked 80 hours constantly on my feet for 2 weeks working stocking shelves and what not. Anyway I could not take the pain anymore and Jeremy was kinda upset I wouldn't go to the doctor. So I finally go, and well needless to say he was not happy with me. He straightened my back up and boy was I sore. He highly recommended an MRI and pain management. And I went again on Friday. Well come to find out he can't issue an MRI so I had to go to my family doctor today, Monday. And the visit wasn't very comforting. I figured an MRI wouldn't be a big deal. But oh it is, when it comes to your back, since "There's no real treatment or way to fix your back", so he said I have to get X-Rays first and start physical therapy. Well that's a lot of money. And I don't have money, I can barely pay my cell phone bill and gas. So yeah. And only getting 4 hours this week doesn't help. They did ask me to stay last night but since I didn't have a mat for my feet the first half of my shift my back was shot and I needed to get off my feet. Any way all my family doctor could do for me is give me stronger pain killers, and suggest x-rays and physical therapy... and so this blog begins.

Starting tomorrow, I am waking up at 7:30-8 AM and walking for a mile. Well probably more. I will be walking down to 52, and back up 133, and those of you who know where I live, lol... wish me luck. All together it's probably 2 miles to and from. I'm going to start walking and work my way up to jogging and then maybe running. Hopefully I won't be eating pain killers like candy.

Before my walk, I will drink a full bottle or two of water and then start walking. Not to mention I need new shoes but oh well. When I get back if I can make it, I will eat a salad, with croutons, chicken, and a organic salad dressing with juice or vitamin water, ALL portions going by the serving size on the container. No more, no less. I will do this every day this week. And I will blog about it, and how I'm feeling and how my back feels. Maybe if I get enough money I'll do physical therapy, until then I'll do my own. And I'll be going to the Chiropractor when I get the money. Probably on Thursday and Friday again.

I'm so stressed out, so I hope this works. If not, I don't even know anymore. It is always something, there is ALWAYS something in the way.

Oh well.
